I'm speechless! What would possess these two 'actors' to accept these roles?

ISTANBUL, Turkey (Feb. 2) - In the most expensive Turkish movie ever made, American soldiers in Iraq crash a wedding and pump a little boy full of lead in front of his mother.
They kill dozens of innocent people with random machine gun fire, shoot the groom in the head, and drag those left alive to Abu Ghraib prison - where a Jewish doctor cuts out their organs, which he sells to rich people in New York, London and Tel Aviv.

I ACTUALLY LIKED BUSEY BEFORE THIS, HE PLAYED PARTS THAT WAS PRETTY GOOD, BUT DOING SOMETHING LIKE THIS I WILL DO EVER THING I CAN TO TELL EVERYONE I KNOW WHAT HE HAS DONE. Busey was magnificent in the 'Buddy Holly Story" and a capable bad guy in "Lethal Weapon" However, drugs and that high speed impact with the curb following his helmet-less motorcycle accident seems to have shook something terribly loose. gary busey is a hack. i spent two tours in iraq, i was in the Marine Corps infantry. if anybody knows what it is like over there I have a pretty good idea. in two tours never did i see any blood lust like the kind portrayed in the film. the corpsman and doctors take just as much care of the wounded Iraqis as they did us. all this anit- Americanism makes me absolutley sick. what the public isn't hearing is that the Iraqi support for us over there is overwhelming. that is something that you won't hear on cnn " the communist news network". as far as busey and zane, if they don't like it stay the hell out of my country. the one that i fought for and the one that alot of good young men fought for that didn't come back for. people seem to have forgotten the good that is happening, more importantly they seem to have forgotten 3,000 plus Americans that were MURDERED! until we remember that again and that if these terrorist had their way 9\11 would happen everyday. look at the female reporter that got kidnapped, she was there to show the "suffering"of the Iraqis and look what happened to her. think that they wouldn't do the same to you and your entire family? it isn't the U.S vs. the world it is the terrorists against everybody who isn't like them. when you kiss your kids goodnight think about the young men over there walking the streets so you can kiss you kids goodnight.Comment from samid54 - 2/2/06 3:58 PM

It never fails to amaze me that these Hollywood types will sell out their souls, their morals and their own country. These two "actors" are definitely not on anyone's so-called A-list. They are a couple of has-beens with no character or morals in a movie whose sole goal is to bash America.If you hate your country so much, stay in Turkey. What is truly sad here is that we as Americans are so full of ourselves that we refuse to listen to the viewpoints of anyone else.Our own perception of this war is being spoonfed by the Bush regime, and until we see the damage this administration is doing to countries that are supposed to be our allies, we will continue to live in denile.If anything this movie should be a wake-up call for us to evaluate our true motivations.This is what others see us as. Anybody surprised by this, or who thinks this will hurt Gary Busey's career, doesn't know Busey. That guy is plumb insane and has been for years.This movie is surprising, but not unbelievable. America has been operating under a number of highly controversial, anti-diplomatic policies in recent years and as much as the idealists in this country would like to believe otherwise it is causing serious damage to our reputation, especially in developing countries. The war in Iraq is merely a symbol of these policies, and therefore it's ripe for criticism.The movie is a work of fiction, dealing with fictional policies in a fictional America. After reading the synopsis of what goes on in that fictional America -- the harvesting of the organs of innocents -- I'M against them, too. Everybody should be against them.How did the Turks feel about Midnight Express? Did we, as a country, expect them to accept the criticism of their legal system and its effect on what were, in context, obvious criminals?That film taught us that "turkish revenge" is stabbing a man in the ass.
